 Melanie is survived by her husband, Jeff Jordahl Ryan, her daughters, Maile and Madailein Ryan, her mother Amanda Heuston, her father Kevin Ryan, and her sister, Cecily Ryan. A memorial service will be held on Friday June 17, 2011, at 2:30 P.M. at Gilroy Presbyterian Church, 6000 Miller Avenue, Gilroy, CA.
A scholarship trust fund has been established in Melanie's name for the benefit of her daughters at "Santa Clara Fire Fighters Foundation":
